NO Unused or Expired Medications down the drain!
Bring your unused or expired medication for safe disposal to:
Ventura Police Department, 1425 Dowell Drive, Ventura or
Westside Resources Center, 110 N. Olive Street, Unit K, Ventura
Narcotics, over-the counter and other prescription medication in the house can pose a danger to children and pets and even some teens and adults. Because wastewater treatment plants cannot fully eliminate elements of these medications in their processing, drugs can no longer be put into the trash or flushed down the toilet or poured down the sink.
For safe disposal:
- Bring to the periodic Drug Collection Events at the Ventura Police Department
- Bring non-narcotic and over-the-counter drugs to the monthly Household Hazardous Waste collection event (see details above)
- As a community service Roger’s Pharmacy, 2909 Loma Vista Road, Ventura 93003 will take any medication in pill form only during business hours Monday through Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Call (805) 648-1856 for more details.
